Ely GPUI

1,272 components for GPUI, in light and dark, live in the browser.

Ely GPUI is a component library for GPUI, the Rust framework the Zed editor is built on. GPUI is fast and GPU-rendered, but it ships very few finished widgets. Ely fills the shelf: 1,272 components, so a Rust desktop app starts from parts instead of from rectangles.

It covers everything from buttons, forms, and menus to whole application surfaces: tables and charts, calendars, a code editor and a terminal, chat and mail, file browsers, git views, dashboards, and finance widgets. Enough to build an IDE, a trading desk, an AI chat app, or a mail client.

Every component is designed in both a light and a dark theme. Switch the theme and the whole app follows, with nothing to restyle by hand.

The gallery at elygpui.com shows all of it in 43 chapters, and every component runs live in the browser. It is the real Rust library, not screenshots, so you can click, type, and switch themes before you write a line of code.

Using it takes one line in Cargo.toml. The code is open source under MIT or Apache 2.0, and the docs live alongside the gallery at elygpui.com.
